    Last year,the United States Of American customer contact me to process one style metal parts on internect.At first,he didn't believe us and said:The pump connectors technology is very difficult!Neither of the two suppliers I have met my requirements.So I am more interested in this now.

    Through conservations with clients,clarify the customer's needs.The connector used for oil pump switch and a movable rubber plug needs to be installed inside.This product has three basic requirements.Firstly,the material must be durable and corrosion-resistant.Secondly,the hardness must be high enough to connect adajacent parts.Lastly,the inner wall must be smooth.

    Through customer statements and provided sketches.I have analyzed the reasons for the failure of suppliers A and B and optimized them accordingly.Supplier A choose brass material to process,even if brass can prevent corrosion and reach hardness.But the cost of brass is too high and not suitable for mass production and the surface is too rough!On this basis,supplier B choose stainless steel 303 to process.SUS303 is much cheaper than brass and the surface more smooth.But 303 material hardness is too soft and corrosivity does not meet the requirements.In a word,the biggest pain point of both has not solved the problem of internal smoothness!In addition,we also need to consider the issues of cost,corrosion resistance,and hardness.

    So how did we solve it?Let me tell you!

1.material cost:due to the need for mass production,it is necessary to reduce material costs within a resonable range.We do not choose brass or products with cost of purple copper.

2.prevent corrosion:we do not choose carbon steel or mold steel.

3.hardness:we do not choose plastics or aluminum and sus 303.

After considering the above three points, we finally determined the material to be 304/316!In addition, considering the cutting performance and surface finish requirements,We finally determined the material to be 304F.But how to make the interior of the product as smooth as possible?There is only way,and that is polishing.But polishing can only be done externally!After intense discussions among the engineers, the problem was finally resolved!!!

    That is to produce a special tool that can polish the interior of 304 material - a rolling knife!Sure enough, after being processed with special tools, the inner wall was as smooth as a mirror, with high hardness, strong corrosion resistance and low cost.
